Government will pay fees of students.


Now state government will pay fees of students securing admissions in IIT, IIM, AIIMS, NIT, NLIU and other national institutions, provided their parents are not taxpayers. Also, free coaching will be given to UPSC, IIT, IIM aspirants based on merit. State would bear the cost of higher education overseas for financially weaker students as well. 

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced a slew of sops for students at the felicitation programme of meritorious students at Lal Parade Ground here on Sunday. He also said a website would be launched soon by school education department to address students' grievances and asked additional chief secretary (ACS) SR Mohanty from the dais to expedite the process. CM Chouhan felicitated 10,061 students who scored over 85% in MPBSE Class 12 exams this year and handed out citation letters of Rs 25,000 for laptops that would be transferred through RTGS. 

Also, IITT JEE MP toppers, Satvat Jagwani, Janak Agarwal, Mukesh Pareekh, Krati Tiwari and Shantanu Dubey were feted with Rs 25,000 each at the ceremony.
