Thursday, 19 November 2015 has released its official notification for JEE Main 2016


JEE Main 2016 Notification: CBSE has released its official notification for JEE Mains and the online registration will be going to start from 1st December 2015. The last date for registration of exam is 31st December 2015 and all those candidates who had been waiting for the notification can check the details here. The candidates who wish to apply should register themselves on or before the last date. The exam is scheduled to be held in the month of April 2016.

Important Dates:
  • Starting date of JEE Main 2016 online registration : 1st December 2015
  • Last date of Online registration: 31st December 2015
  • Availability of Admit Card: 2nd Week of March 2016
  • JEE Main 2016 Exam: Offline Exam (3rd April 2016),  Online Exam (9th and 10th April 2016)
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a common engineering entrance examination, conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. One is JEE- Mains exam is for the admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, and etc while JEE-Advanced is for the admissions to  Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). All the interested candidates took part in the exam every year. The admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other centrally funded institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).
The Paper-1 JEE (Main) for B. E./B. Tech will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmers offered by the IITs.  A lot of states across the country have joined the JEE (Main) system. The states include Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha and therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2015 application form online.
Note: The number of times a candidate can attempt is limited to only three times to clear JEE Mains exam.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates who wish to apply should have passed the higher secondary exam with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) from a recognized board or university and secured minimum 50% marks in core subjects.
Age limit: The candidates belonging to general and OBC category should have born on or after 1st October 1991 while for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is 1stOctober 1986.
Application Fee: The application varies from category to category and the candidates should pay the application either through Online or through E-challan. Those who wish to check the application fee can check the notification below.
Exam Pattern: The exam will have two papers. The candidates should apply for both the papers. Paper-I will have multiple choice questions from Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics while Paper-II will have three sections of which section-I will have MCQ type questions from Mathematics, section-II  from aptitude skills and section-III include drawing test.
