How to Plan your Academic Year as a CBSE Student

New beginnings are always exciting. No matter how lightly you take your studies throughout the year, as you begin with the new academic year for once you do take the resolution to study hard and outshine your friends. Why not go that extra mile to fulfill the promise made to yourself and make your parents proud this time? Here is how to plan your academic year the right way as a CBSE student.

Start from the First Day
Many students make the mistake of whiling away the time during the first few weeks or even months and get serious about studies only as the exams approach. This way you can never prepare well for the exam. You must begin studying from the very first day so as to complete your syllabus on time.

Schedule Your Time
Prepare a tentative plan for the entire year to have an idea about how to spread your course in a way that you cover it all before your final exams and also get enough time for revision. Also plan your weekly schedule and abide by it strictly. Consider all your plans as you sit to prepare the weekly schedule. Your plan must be workable. If you are not able to stick to it even after pushing yourself to the limit then make necessary changes in it.

Abide by Your Plan
Many students begin by creating a plan but loose motivation soon. Do not let that happen. It is your plan, you way to the success – do not take it lightly. Be strict with yourself and stick to the set schedule. Remember, you need to get out of your comfort zone to attain what you want.

Follow the 50 – 10 rule
Studies reveal that a human mind cannot concentrate well for hours at a stretch. At max, it can concentrate for 50 minutes. If you take a 10 minutes break after working hard for 50 minutes you will be able to sit with equal dedication for the next 50 minutes and make the most of that time.

It is important to squeeze in around 30-45 minutes for rejuvenation each day. During this time you must do some physical activity such as swimming, jogging, cycling or the likes. In addition to it, you can also spend some time talking to a friend, watching a funny video, painting or indulging in any other activity that helps relax your mind. But keep a tab on the time.

Sleep Well
It is essential for you to take a good 8 hours sleep every night so as to wake up fresh the next morning and stay energized through the day. Do not overlook the importance of taking a good night’s sleep. Also try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day.

Eat Right
This is another point that cannot be neglected. You must have a well balanced diet, full of various micronutrients in order to stay healthy and study efficiently all through the year. Include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and steer clear from junk food.
