Mystery of Black Hole

Black holes are formed as a result of disintegration of massive size stars in the space. These are not visible from the earth like the stars and planets. High tech equipments and close scientific observation is required to discover these.
These big black holes are known for their incredible gravitational power and the density of their formation. Nothing, not even light, can escape this gravitational force. Any star or other heavenly body that comes in contact with this black hole gets absorbed in it and is never able to come out. So the formation of these black holes basically depends on the matter in the space. The reason behind the actual origin of the black holes still remains a mystery however scientists keep coming up with different interesting theories on the same.

  • There are three types of black holes. These are:
  • The Super Massive: This is present in the center of a galaxy. These holes grow bigger and bigger in size as they absorb stars and other heavenly bodies.
  • The Stellar: Stellar black holes are formed when a massive star collapses at its core.
  • The Miniature: Miniature black hole’s formation is associated with the Big Bang Theory. It is said that these holes emerged as the universe started expanding at a rapid pace. However, as per another scientific theory the Big Bang and the creation of the black holes are both different ideas.

As per a research, there are several big and small black holes across the universe including the Milky Way. The Cygnus X-1 that is found in space has been under scientific observation since the 1960s. It is a source of X-rays as a result of which the scientists believe that it is a black hole.
