Indian Institute Can Tie Up with Foreign Schools for UG courses

Union Human Resource Development Minister, Smriti Irani recently announced that the educational institutes in India can now collaborate with different foreign institutions for undergraduate courses.
"For the first time in the history of our country, the government of India has allowed our institutions to tie up with foreign institutions for degree programmes for undergraduate courses," Irani shared at the fourth convocation program of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata at Mohanpur campus in Nadia district.
She further stated that now the students will have the option of pursuing two semesters in foreign institution in undergraduate courses and one semester in postgraduate courses. “For undergraduate courses students now have a choice, in conjunction with their mother institute in India, to pursue two semesters overseas in a FEI and one semester in post graduate courses while still tied to their mother institute here,” Irani stated.
Let us have a look at the two key benefits this decision is likely to yield:

There is no doubt that the collaboration of the top rated Indian institutes with reputed educational institutions around the globe will help in enhancing their quality of education further.  This move by the government will thus help in improving the quality of higher education imparted in the country.

The decision by the HRD ministry will also broaden the scope for the students. Many working professionals are required to prove their knowledge and ability by clearing exams in foreign countries so as to acquire a job there. However, with this latest move their knowledge and scope for work will not be limited only to their homeland.

The certificate awarded to the students at the completion of the course will have the name of

both the parent and foreign institute. The degree shall be given by the Indian educational institutions. Joint degrees will not be given to the students.

Five Ways of Thinking Strong

‘You are what you think you are’. The power of strong and positive thinking cannot be neglected. If you think you are strong and capable and will succeed in life you certainly will however if you begin thinking that you aren’t good enough and would never be able to attain your goals chances are that you will turn out to be a failure. It is thus important to build a strong and positive thinking. Here are five ways of thinking strong:

1. Believe in Yourself
The first thing you need to do is to train your mind to believe in yourself. It is only when you believe in your strengths would you be able to develop strong thinking. Give yourself a benefit of doubt and believe that you have the strength and skill to attain your goals.

2. Shun the Black or White
Most people think that things are either black or white. They tend to feel that either they will have all or just nothing. This is nothing but a way to weaken your capacity to think and succeed. It is to be understood that things are not always black or white; there is a grey shade too. So don’t get devastated if you aren’t able to achieve something. Just gather your strength and try it again or may be try your hands at a different thing.

3. Get Rid of the Should s and Shouldn't
From the very beginning, our parents, teachers and other people around tell us that certain things are good for us and some bad. So our mind is trained to act in a particular way. We refrain from doing certain things just because we have been repeatedly told that it shouldn’t be done. This in turn keeps us from trying new things. You must think logically and decide what is good and what is bad for you.

4. Stop the Blame Game
Many of us tend to blame ourselves for things we haven’t done and this results in spending too much time feeling guilty and that too for no reason. Similarly, we even try and put the blame of many things on the people around. Both these are the attributes of the weak and merely result in wasting the time. You must stop playing the blame game and think of a solution to things that are important to you and ignore the ones you are not related to.

5. Surround Yourself with Positive People
Our company impacts our thinking and general habits to a great extent. It is thus essential to surround yourself with people who make you feel happy and encourage you to bring out the best in yourself. Steer clear from those who criticize you constantly thereby marring your self-esteem. Also don’t try to drag relationships as it may make you feel unwanted and impact your thinking negatively.

When Competition is High and Motivation Goes Down

In order to score well it is essential to study hard which is only possible if you stay motivated all through your academic session. Different students are motivated to study owing to different factors. However, there are times when one tends to loose motivation. Let us see as to what should be done during such times so as to regain motivation:

Motivational Factor
Begin by reminding yourself as to why it is important for you to score well in the upcoming exam. What impact would the exam result have on your professional and personal life? Try to analyse as to what would be the repercussions of scoring low in the exam and you will feel the force driving you to
gear up again.

Many a times we overlook the importance of setting goals. Lack of any set targets or goals is another reason why the motivation tends to dither. However, do not go overboard with the idea. Set realistic goals and work hard to achieve them. It is a good idea to reward yourself on every little achievement so as to stay motivated.

Meditation is a good way to boost your power to concentrate, stay disciplined and motivated. It is thus suggested to practice it for at least 15 minutes on a daily basis. You may find it hard to meditate initially however soon you will look forward to it.

Squeezing in 25-30 minutes to exercise each day keeps you fit, energized and also helps in keeping your motivation level high. You can simply go for walk, try cycling, swimming, aerobics, yoga or any other such activity. The idea is to include a physical activity such as these in your daily routine.

Studying day after day, following the same routine can get quite monotonous and may cause a dip in motivation. Don’t try to drag things if you find yourself in such a situation. Take a break and indulge in any activity of your choice. This would help you rejuvenate and start with greater motivation.

Scientists Design Protein to Modify Memory

Scientists in New York have recently come up with a new tool with the help of which one can modify the brain activity and memory in certain ways. This does not involve the intake of any kind of chemicals or drugs.
This is basically a protein which can be set in animal genomes so as to shut their inhibitory synapses and the link between neurons that augments their electrical activity.
Don Arnold, a professor at the University of Southern California shared that this protein termed as the GFE3 protein can enable the researchers to gauge the brain’s connection and analyse how inhibitory synapses transform the brain function.  “GFE3 harnesses a little known and remarkable property of proteins within the brain,” he added. This may even help them manage neural activity and result in the advancements in the research for medical conditions such as schizophrenia, cocaine addiction and the likes.
Most of the brain proteins last just for a few days and then begin to degrade and are gradually replaced by the new ones. GFE3 aims towards those proteins that clasp inhibitory synapses together to the degradation system owing to which the synapses fall apart. This way instead of a cell deciding as to when a protein is to be degraded the process is hijacked. The protein’s impact has been studies on zebrafish and mice.
It has been found that the GFE3 protein prompts the neurons on two sides of the spine so they work in opposition and bring about uncoordinated movements. “Unfortunately, cells that have very different, even opposite functions tend to be right next to each other in the brain,” said Arnold.
“Thus, pharmacological experiments are especially difficult to interpret. By encoding GFE3 within the genome, we can target and modulate the inhibitory synapses of specific cells without affecting other cells that have different functions,” Arnold stated further.

Games That Increase Your Brain Power

Since ages, students are involved in a number of activities to enhance their brain power. While meditation and yoga are considered to be one of the oldest and most effective ways to boost our mental health and power to concentrate interestingly there are quite a few games as well that can help you achieve this. Here is a look at some of the games that increase your brain power:

Jigsaw Puzzles
A wide variety of jigsaw puzzles are available in the market. This fun puzzle game is a great way to enhance your short term memory. The game that requires you to bring different pieces together to form a complete image is available for people of every age-group. Kids must be encouraged to play this game from an early age itself.

Another game to sharpen the memory, crossword is super fun to play. It does not only help in sharpening your memory but makes you more creative and hones your problem solving skills.

This no doubt is one of the best games to stimulate your brain cells. Each move in this game must be played tactfully and it thus helps in improving your analytical and calculation skills.

Another game to enhance your analytical and calculation skills, Sudoku is played since decades. It also boosts your power to concentrate and enhances your memory.

Video Games
These days a number of games are being designed especially to increase your power to concentrate and improve your analytical skills. You can easily download and play these on your smart phones, laptops or tabs however make sure you don’t get addicted to these as these may cause migraine and have adverse effect on your eyes.

Scientists found that Bacteria Hair Make Excellent Electrical Wires

Scientists in Boston have recently come up with an all new theory. They have researched and found that some bacteria have hair-like nanoscale filaments that have electrical conductivity akin to that found in copper.

Though it has been observed that proteins are mostly insulating electrically, these hair-like filaments termed as pili show metallic like conductivity. It has been found that the electronic arrangement and the tiny molecular distances provide the electrical conductivity to pili. The direct measurement of various physical properties present in Geobacter sulfurreducens pili reveals that they have metallic-like conductivity. However, certain studies even state that this conductivity is not based on the structures of G sulfurreducens pilus calculated from homology models.

Pili has been examined with rocking-curve X-ray diffraction and synchrotron X-ray microdiffraction. The result derived by both these methods shows a periodic 0.32 nanometre spacing in G sulfurreducens pili. The power of the 0.32-nanometre peak raises about 100-fold as the pH shifts from 10.5 to 2. This shows a structure-function connection for metallic-like conductivity that may be accredited to the overlapping orbitals of aromatic amino acids.

G sulfurreducens pilus’ homology model shows that the aromatic amino acids present in it are located at a distance of 0.3 to 0.4 nanometre. The research further states that the G sulfurreducens pili represents a class of electronically functional proteins that promote long distance electron transport with the help of the aromatic amino acids present in it.

This finding is of interest as this may lead to the use of these biological components in lightweight electronics thereby making them cost-effective and non-toxic. It may even act as a biological source of electricity for bioremediation.

Challenges Faced by India Education System

While Indian youths are making it big in various sectors across the globe, back home there are numerous loopholes in the education system. The education system in our country faces several challenges owing to which many deserving students are deprived of the kind of education they should get. Let us learn about these loop holes in detail:

1. Lack of Practical Knowledge
The Indian education system does not give exposure to practical knowledge. The syllabus in schools and even in colleges is majorly theoretical and thus does not impart the kind of knowledge a student requires when he goes out in the market.

2. Lack of Research
It is very essential to hone a student’s research and analytical skills as this helps in developing the problem solving ability which is extremely essential as he goes out and ventures a career. This is the reason why our country sees lack of technological innovation. Our engineering students are more comfortable taking instructions and working as per them rather than creating or innovating something on their own.

3. Outdated Syllabus
The syllabus must be revised from time to time in order to cater to the present needs however it is seldom done. The technology and science has advanced at a rapid pace over the last few years however the higher education in our country has not been revised accordingly.

4. No Focus on Personality Development
Our educational institutions focus only on academics which is again wrong. A student’s all round development is very essential in order for him to become successful. Personality development should be a part of the school curriculum but it is not.

5. Reservation
One of the biggest loopholes in our education system is the reservation system. It bars the entry of the bright students to good educational institutes and gives way to the non-deserving lot.

6. Extremely Expensive
Education in our country is becoming more and more expensive by the day. Right from admission in the nursery class to seeking higher education – it has become a challenge for the families to provide education to their kids in reputed educational institutes owing to the hike in their

Good Habits for Students: How Top Students Learn

Why is it that even as the same teacher teaches the entire class, some students are able to score 95 plus, some merely manage to pass and some don’t even reach the passing percentage? While many assume that some students are simply gifted, the truth is that it is their hard work and the general habits they adopt that make the difference. Here is a look at the essential habits adopted by these students that help them learn their lessons efficiently and perform better.

Study Plan
Most students begin by preparing a study plan but how many of them follow it diligently? Only those who are serious about their studies and are determined to achieve their goals. A workable study plan is the first thing these students prepare and they stick to it all through to ensure that they are able to cover the entire course well in time. Each hour of their day is well-planned so as to make the most of their time and they make sure that they abide by the set schedule.

Start Early
Most students waste the first few months of their academic session and get serious about their studies only when the first-term date sheet is released. But this is not the case with the top students. They begin studying from the very first day and thus have sufficient time to prepare for their exams.

Prepare Notes
Guide books, study material and your teacher’s notes contain all the information you require grasping to attain a good score however juggling between these every time can be quite time consuming. Top students keep jotting down important points from all these sources to prepare their own notes. It is easier to grasp information when you write side by side as you go through topic after topic. This way you also prepare a ready reckoner to be referred to the next time.
Test the Knowledge
Top students don’t just grasp information they keep testing their knowledge from time to time by solving sample papers and giving mock tests. It is a good way to figure out the areas you lack in and brush up on the same to ensure that you are thorough with the entire syllabus.

Ask Questions
Top students don’t hesitate to ask questions from the teachers during classroom sessions as well as post the class. They ask questions and seek help from their teachers to clarify their doubts related to any topic in order to prepare better.

Sleep Well
It is very essential to sleep for a good 7-8 hours each day to help relax your mind as well as body and top students take this aspect very seriously. They make sure they take adequate sleep every day so as to wake up fresh and concentrate better.

Eat Right and Exercise
Most students make the mistake of overlooking this aspect. Eating a well-balanced diet is essential to stay fit and energized all through the day. Exercising is another good habit that the top students follow. It boosts the power to concentrate and is also a good stress buster.

Good Revision Techniques Student Must Follow

We often plan a schedule to cover our syllabus before the exam and leave a very little time for revision. Most students tend to take the revision period lightly believing they have already covered the entire syllabus and are well-versed with it. However, this is wrong. Revision is of utmost importance and planning it properly is the key to success. Here are 6 excellent revision techniques to help you memorise your lessons thoroughly.

1. Start Early
Don’t expect that you would be able to revise and retain the entire syllabus a night before the examination. It is essential to prepare a proper plan to cover the entire syllabus well in time and begin with the revision when you still have enough time. If you think revising is a one-time process then you are mistaken. You are required to revise and re-revise your chapters several times in order to memorize them well.

2. Refer to Your Notes
It is best to refer to your hand-written notes at the time of revision. However, just don’t keep reading them. Try to shorten them each time you revise your chapters so that you have the gist of it ready by the time your exams approach. Writing the important points as you read through your notes is also a good way to retain the information.

3. Study with a Fresh Mind
Needless to say, that you can concentrate better when your mind is fresh. Take a good night’s sleep and wake up early in the morning to study with a fresh mind. The calm and tranquil atmosphere in the morning is considered best for revision. However, some of you may find it easier to concentrate during the late evening hours. The point is to identify the time you can concentrate best and do your revisions during that time.

4. Balance Your Subjects
Don’t go subject wise when it comes to revision. It is suggested to plan your revision schedule in a way that you are able to devote equal time to each subject and study them all simultaneously.

5. Follow the 50/10 Rule
This rule works on the formula of concentrating completely on your work for 50 minutes and taking a short break of 10 minutes every hour. During this 10 minutes break you can do anything you want to unwind but make sure you get back to work after exactly 10 minutes. This is a great way to keep a tab on time, boost your power to concentrate and stay motivated.

6. Take Mock Tests
Revising is not about running through chapter after chapter. It is essential to know how much you have actually been able to memorise after putting in the amount of efforts you have and this can very well be done by giving mock tests. Give mock tests regularly preferably one every day to understand the areas that require improvement.

Different PG Streams after MBBS

Looking for courses you can pursue after completing MBBS? There are many options to choose from and these are not restricted merely to treating patients with different kinds of ailments. Here is a look at the various available options:

MD/MS/ Diploma:
One of the most common choices after MBBS, this course allows you to specialize in a particular field such as paediatric, gynaecology, general surgery to name a few. While MD/ MS degree courses are for 3 years, the diploma course can be completed in just 2 years. You are required to clear the AIPGMEE exam in order to seek admission in this PG course.

DNB (Diploma of National Board):
This is another course to pursue for all those of you aiming to attain a specialist degree. The course recognized by MCI is offered by the National Board of Examinations. However, the pass rates in this course are said to be quite low. This course is not preferred by many also because it is mostly offered by private hospitals that do not provide the required exposure and many hospitals prefer MD/ MS candidates over DNB candidates.

MHA (Masters in Health Administration):
This 3 year post-graduate degree in Health Administration hones the management skills of MBBS graduates so that along with treating their patients they also become efficient enough to manage their clinics and hospitals.

Doctors with MBA degree are quite in demand these days. You are required to sit for CAT in order to seek admission in a good MBA institute.

Civil Services:
One also has the option to join civil services after completing MBBS. Many MBBS graduates go on to become IAS, IRS, IFS and IPS officers.

CMS (Combined Medical Services):
This examination is conducted to offer opportunities in government institutions such as Municipal Corporations and Railways as Medical Officers. The exam conducted by UPSC can be given by final year students and interns.

MMST (Masters in Medical Science and Technology):
Another course that MBBS graduates can go for is the Masters in Medical Science and Technology. It is offered by quite a few institutes including IITs that offer medical biotechnology, bioinformatics, healthcare imaging, etc.

M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering and Biological Sciences:
Yet another course being offered at the IITs especially for the MBBS graduates. This has especially been designed for the students who aim to develop medical instruments and machines to enhance health care services.

New HRD Channels will Telecast IIT Lectures Live

The Union Human Resource Department has reportedly planned to launch 32 Direct-to-Home channels that will telecast lectures from six IITs as well as certain other reputed institutes. The ministry is working towards launching these channels by the end of August this year. So you will have access to these lectures sitting in the comfortable confines of your home.

“The government is focusing on using space technology to expand the reach of high quality education. Through the 32 DTH channels the aim is to ensure that live classrooms can be transmitted from ten ‘Teaching Ends’ out of which six will be IITs located in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kharagpur, Kanpur and Guwahati,” a senior official from the ministry shared recently.
It is being heard that the department of space has decided to allocate two transponders on GSAT series satellite for this project. MoUs have been signed with the institutions that have agreed to provide the content to be aired on these channels. The channels would supposedly be available on Doordarshan’s Free Dish DTH platform. Only a Set Top Box would be required to air them.

Life at IIT Delhi for Engineering

IIT Delhi is one of the most sought-after engineering colleges in the country. Ever wondered what makes it so popular among the engineering aspirants and as to why its alumni are always looking forward to revisiting the campus for meets and other occasions? Well, everything from its campus, faculty members, students and the overall environment is warm and friendly.

“IIT Delhi is the dream of every science student. You get to live what actually is the ideal college life. You are totally independent there. The hostel life, academics, co-curricular, extra-curricular, events, fests and everything just make it an amazing place to spend 4 years of your life. What I like the most here is that in comparison to other engineering colleges, students take academics here quite seriously”, shared Antriksh, a student of IITD.

“On the very first day, our seniors told us to attend all the lectures and just revise the lecture once, and that will be enough. This is what I do on regular basis and it has been working great till now. I generally spend more time in other activities and with friends rather than academics, and this is what most of the students do here”, he stated further. So you know, here you are not going to immerse yourself purely in academics. There are various co-curricular activities that one can indulge in to break the monotony. These activities also ensure the all round development of the students.

Though the overall atmosphere here is good, IITD students often complain about the hostel facilities. Talking about the same another IIT student, Kaushal Hooda shared, “They're old, overcrowded, stifling hot. The food is tolerable in the beginning, but rapidly becomes almost repulsive”. However, the students soon adapt to the life here and actually begin liking it.

Grow Trees, Save Trees

You must have heard the importance of saving the trees and growing more of them but have ever really contributed towards this cause? This environmental concern is graver than you thought and the reason why each one of us must contribute towards it should be clear by the time you finish reading this piece. Here is a look at the various reasons why we must plant more and more trees and save the existing ones:

1. Release Oxygen
Carbon dioxide emitted by factories, vehicles and other sources is a threat to the environment. Trees absorb this harmful gas and release the life-giving oxygen back into the atmosphere thereby maintaining the ecological balance.

2. Cleanse the Air
Not just CO2, trees also absorb pollutant gases such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and ammonia. They trap the harmful particles emitted by these gases on their leaves and bark and thus give us clean and fresh air to breath.

3. Provide Food
There are numerous trees that bear fruits and thus help in fulfilling our nutritional requirements. They also provide food to animals and birds.

4. Offer Cooling Effect
There is no denying the fact that standing under a shady tree during a hot summer day can offer respite from the heat. Trees provide shade and release water vapor into the air via their leaves thus offering a cooling effect.

5. Prevent Soil Erosion
In the hilly areas, trees decrease soil erosion to a large extent by safeguarding the soil from the effect of the rain. They bind the soil in hilly and sloppy lands by their roots.

6. Converse Energy
An apartment building surrounded by a good number of trees becomes naturally cool. So you do not require turning on your air conditioners all the time to lower the temperature and thus conserve energy. This also reduces the emission of carbon dioxide and other gases.

7. Conserve Water
Trees slow the process of water evaporation from the land by providing shade. Thus they contribute in raising the atmospheric moisture.

8. Provide Shelter
Trees are home for the birds. They also provide shelter to the animals and human beings. They offer respite to the travelers during bright sunny days.

Besides, trees are also known to offer a healing effect, reduce violence and bring people together. So now you know how important these are for the environment and our overall well being. These should be reasons enough for you to save trees and grow more of them to do your bit for the environment.

Difference between Classroom Learning and Online Learning

While online learning is gradually gaining popularity, many among us still prefer the conventional classroom training. Both online and classroom training have their own set of pros and cons and thus the decision to single out on one gets all the more difficult. Here is a look at the key differences between the two in order to help you understand as to which one is suitable for you.

Classroom Learning
  1. Classroom learning needs no introduction. This traditional method of learning has been here for ages and still continues to be quite popular. When you seek classroom training you are supposed to be at your institute at a specific time and study for the fixed number of hours defined there.
  2. You do not study alone. There is a group of students and the teacher teaches at a moderate pace. However, some students may feel that the syllabus is being covered very slowly while others might not be able to keep up with the pace.
  3. You are required to travel to your institute everyday and this can be quite time consuming and exhausting.
  4. If you are unable to attend any of your classroom sessions for some reason you will miss the lessons taught on those particular days.
Online Learning
  1. Online learning offers you the flexibility of studying at a time suitable to you. So you can choose that time of the day when you can concentrate best.
  2. You can study at your own sweet pace. You are not required to match up to the speed of other students. You can always replay the topic you did not understand to comprehend it better.
  3. Online learning also gives you the flexibility of studying at a place of your choice. You can study in the comfortable confines of your home and save on the time spent in travelling.
  4. You will not have to miss out on your class even if you require travelling for some reason. You can study on the go. Similarly, if you are unwell or unable to study on a particular day, you still won’t miss out on any topic as is the case with the conventional classroom training.

IIT Gandhinagar to Offer Counselling for JEE Advanced 2016 Students

After clearing the JEE Advanced, one major decision that a student needs to take is to choose from different engineering branches in different IITs. With so many options around, it is difficult to make the decision. Hence, to make the decision-making easier for the students, Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar is conducting free counselling for all those who appeared in JEE Advanced 2016.
There shall be an Open House where the participants shall be allowed to interact with the IITGN’s faculty members, institute’s Director and the Dean of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. The aim of the Open House here is to provide counselling to both the students as well as the parents to help clear their doubts and apprehensions regarding different engineering courses, institutes, campus environment and so on. The institute shall also organize a campus tour for the participants.
Talking about the counselling session at IITGN, Rushil Vispute, a student coordinator of the event said, “It is common for students to get confused whether to go for a branch of his lesser choice in an institute of his higher preference or vice versa. Interaction with IIT faculty and students who are already in IIT will help such students clear their confusion and make the best choice”.
The institute will conduct two counselling sessions. One before the declaration of the result that is on the 5th of June and the other post the result declaration on the 18th June. Those interested in taking part in these sessions can register at http://www.iitgn.ac.in or contact the event coordinators Rushil Vispute at 09714166524 or Homit Pal at 0998372731.

Those of you preparing for IIT JEE 2017 still have a lot of time to prepare and if you make the most of this time, you will certainly land in your dream college. Here are a few tips to help you manage your time systematically and prepare efficiently:

1. Get the Syllabus Right
Begin by understanding as to what all is to be covered
under all three subjects. Check the syllabus on the internet or get the syllabus booklet for IIT JEE 2017 so that you have the entire syllabus in front of you.

2. Seek Expert Guidance
If you haven’t done it already then it is time you get enrolled at a good JEE coaching institute to seek expert guidance. It is a good idea to seek coaching online as this gives you the freedom of studying anywhere, anytime and at your own sweet pace. Many students, especially those who are preparing for their board examination simultaneously, are opting for online coaching these days as it also saves a lot of time.

3. Set a Schedule
Prepare a workable schedule and stick to it diligently. Review it at the end of each day to see if you were able to achieve the set goals or need to work harder. In case, you are not able to accomplish the listed tasks during the day even after putting in your best efforts then it is suggested to revise your plan.

4. Identify the Right Time
Identify that part of the day when you can concentrate best and try to memorize your lessons during that time. You can work on the written assignments during the other time.

5. Test Your Knowledge
Don’t just go on mugging up lessons. Test your knowledge from time to time by giving mock tests such as those available at Etoosindia.com. You may also solve sample papers or previous years’ papers. Try solving these within a stipulated time to enhance your speed and also to know the areas that require improvement.

6. Revise
It is suggested to prepare notes as you study chapter after chapter and revise the topics side by side from your handwritten notes to memorize them well. Also try to cover the entire syllabus at least 2-3 months before the exam so that you are left with enough time for revision.

7. Go For Group Studies
It is a good idea to go for group studies every once in a while. Throw questions at each other during these sessions in order to test your knowledge. This way you might even get access to some important information that you may have missed otherwise.

8. Sleep Well and Eat Right
Take 7-8 hours of sleep each day to wake up fresh and study efficiently. Also make sure you have a well balanced diet in order to stay energized all through the day. Neglecting these may leave you lethargic and weary and hamper your productivity.

9. Exercise and Rejuvenate
Squeeze in around 30 minutes each day for exercise. You may indulge in yoga, aerobics, swimming, cycling, jogging, walking or any other activity of your choice to stay fit and relax your mind. While these activities are a good way to rejuvenate, you may take an additional 15-20 minutes to chit chat with a friend, watch a video, sit in silence or indulge in a similar activity if that is how you like to unwind.

10. Stay Positive
Lastly, believe in yourself and stay positive.

Simple Yet Effective Tips to Manage your Time Efficiently

If you think you do not have enough time to accomplish all your tasks in a day then think again. You have exactly as many hours in a day as the guy who stood first in your class or your friend who just cracked a tough competitive examination. If they can accomplish their tasks so well then why can’t you? The reason most likely is that you aren’t making the most of the time you have. The problem is common. With so many distractions around it is hard to concentrate and manage our time efficiently. If you are looking for ways to manage your time effectively then the below mentioned tips should help.

1. Prioritize Your Work
The first thing you must do is to prioritize your tasks based on their importance and urgency. Plan to complete your most important tasks first and then move on to the rest.

2. Time Your Tasks
Don’t just sit and go on working for hours. Keep a tab on the time. Time every single task of yours. This will motivate you to speed up your tasks.

3. Stay Motivated
It is difficult to concentrate and stay motivated all through the day. In order to stay motivated, it is a good idea to reward yourself after every task. Plan to do anything that relaxes you after accomplishing each task - it may be having your favorite cookies or chatting with a friend or checking your social media account. This way your aim would be to do something you love and this will motivate you to complete your work as fast as you can.

4. Focus on Your Current Task
You might have a long list of tasks to be accomplished during the day but worrying about the same, juggling between tasks and taking a look at your list time and again will not do any good. Take one task at a time and focus on what you are doing to give it your 100% and finish it fast.

5. Create Workable Plans
Always set goals that are achievable and do your best to attain them else you will end up feeling like a loser every time. It is suggested to make a list of the tasks to be completed during a day and tick mark each task as you complete it. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and motivate you to work harder.

6. Take Adequate Sleep
If you think you shall be able to increase the number of working hours by compromising on your sleep then you are wrong. Not having enough sleep will only make you feel exhausted and decrease
your productivity. It may even have a negative impact on your health.

7. Exercise and Eat Right
Squeeze in some time for exercise every day. Indulge in any activity of your choice. This will help you relax and concentrate better. It is also essential to have a well balanced diet. Avoid oily and sugary food as these make you feel lethargic and hamper productivity.
