Four schools in Jammu and Kashmir would reportedly be adopting the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) system in 2018 that is the next academic year. This is the first time that the Education Ministry of J&K has approved to get the CBSE system for any of its schools. “We have to have a start, our kids are losing for not having this”, said a senior education ministry official from the state.
The J&K State Board is being criticised since quite a long time mainly because of causing delays in updating the syllabus. The CBSE syllabus is revised from time to time to meet the education standards of the current times. The state has thus taken the decision to adopt the same.

- Submission of Application forms in online mode to begin in the last week of December 2017
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has been designated the task to organize JEE Advanced 2018. The exam is being conducted by 7 Zonal IITs under the special guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). It has been scheduled for 20th of May 2018.
JEE Advanced 2018 would be held in complete computer-based test mode. This decision has been taken to prevent unnecessary errors such as those encountered last year.
The number of candidates who would be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced has been increased further this year. This year as many as 2,24,000 candidates among those who qualify in JEE Main 2018 would be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced.
The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has issued a new assessment scheme for CBSE Class 10 board Exam for the coming session 2017-2018. Under this new scheme, CBSE shall conduct the exam for 80 marks and the remaining 20 marks shall be for the internal assessment. The board has given comprehensive instructions on the way the internal assessment needs to be divided among various activities. Here is a look at how the internal assessment has been bifurcated:
