JEE Main 2018 Application Form

  • The forms are likely to be out in the first week of December 2017.
  • Candidates are required to fill JEE Main 2018 application form only via online mode.
  • Printed copy shall not be provided to apply for JEE Main 2018.
  • In order to apply for the exam, students must have Aadhaar Number/ Aadhaar Enrollment Number/ Registration Number that shall be provided by the facilitation center.
  • Candidates are required to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature along with the submission of the application form.
  • Acknowledgement page can be downloaded post the submission of the application form for JEE Main 2018.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2018 examination pattern shared below covers the number of questions to be included in the exam, marking scheme and all that you need to know about the pattern for JEE paper 1 as well as paper 2.

Let us first have a look at the examination pattern for JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 for admission to B.E. / B. Tech courses:

  • The paper will be conducted in both offline (PBT) and online (CBT) mode.
  • It will include 3 sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • There will be a total of 90 questions with each section having a total of 30 questions.
  • The questions will all be objective type.
  • The question paper will be for a total of 360 marks. Each section shall be for 120 marks.
  • 4 marks will be given for each correct answer and 1 mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • The question paper medium choice shall be English and Hindi for all the cities except Daman & Diu, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In addition to English and Hindi, here the paper shall be available in Gujarati also. Language preference must be filled at the time of filling up the application form.

Let us now have a look at the examination pattern for April 2018 Paper 2 for admission to B. Arch/B. Planning courses:

  • The exam will only be conducted in offline (PBT) mode.
  • It will include 3 sections – Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing.
  • Aptitude test section will include 50 questions, Mathematics section will include 30 questions and computer section will include 2 questions.
  • The aptitude test and mathematics section will include objective type questions and the drawing section will include subjective type questions.
  • The question paper will comprise of a total of 390 marks. Aptitude test section will be for 200 marks, mathematics will be for 120 marks and drawing section will be for 70 marks.
  • 4 marks will be given for each correct answer and 1 mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • The question paper medium choice shall be English and Hindi for all the cities except Daman & Diu, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In addition to English and Hindi, here the paper shall be available in Gujarati also. Language preference must be filled at the time of filling up the application form.
