The application forms for NEET UG 2017 are finally out and the last date announced for the submission of the same is March 1. You must be very cautious while filling up the form so that it doesn’t get rejected or you don’t have to waste time correcting it. Here are a few things that should help you fill the online application form accurately:
You must be at least 17 and maximum 25 years old in order to be eligible to appear for this exam.
You should have cleared the class 12th exams from a recognized institute.
You should not have appeared for the exam thrice already.
• Open the Form
On the official website of NEET (cbseneet.nic.in), go to the menu labelled ‘Online Services’ and click open the ‘Apply online’ tab. After reading all the given instructions carefully, click on the ‘Proceed to apply online’ tab.
• Fill the Application
Fill in all the details accurately. Your postal address must be complete with pin code. Also make sure you key in the correct mobile number and email id in order to make the correspondence easier.
You must be extra cautious while filling the columns where code numbers need to be keyed in.
Candidates belonging to Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh need to submit online self declaration for seats available under 15 per cent All India Quota. Verified documents proving the same must be kept ready in such a case.
• Documents to be Retained
Here is the list of documents the candidates must retain with them for future correspondence:
1. A minimum of three printouts of the online application’s confirmation page
2. Proof of the payment of fee
3. A minimum of 5 copies of identical passport size photograph that was submitted with the online application
4. A minimum of 2 similar post card size photos as the one submitted with the online application.
5. Copy of system generated self declaration in respect of applicants from Andhra Pradesh, J&K and Telangana who have opted for the under 15% All India Quota seats
Cross check all the details before clicking the submit button.
• Pay the Fee
Pay the fees post submitting the form. Any online transaction password generated on the site during the registration process is valid only for 15 minutes.
Since last year, NEET has been made the mandatory criterion to select candidates for the medical and dental colleges across the country. The examination would be conducted on the 7th of May this year.
