NEET 2018 Dress Code and Barred Items

neet 2018 dress codeThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the dress code and list of barred items for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018. Candidates appearing for this medical entrance exam must take a note of these points and follow them strictly to avoid any problem on the examination day:

Dress Code for NEET 2018

Here is a look at the NEET 2018 dress code set by CBSE for both male and female candidates:

Dress Code for Male Candidates

  • Light-coloured clothes
  • Jeans/ trousers with half sleeves shirt only
  • The shirt must not have big buttons. Medium sized buttons are allowed.
  • Sandals/ Slippers
  • Kurta – Pyjama is not allowed for male candidates

Dress Code for Female Candidates

  • Light half-sleeves with trousers/ salwar
  • The clothing must not have big buttons, brooches or badges
  • Sandals/ Slippers with low heels

Candidates who require wearing customary dresses such as Burqa must report to their respective examination centre an hour before the exam so that proper scanning can be done before allowing them inside.

  • Bracelet
  • Health Band
  • Nose Pin
  • Earrings

  • Chain/ Necklace

  • Any piece of metallic jewellery or charms

Candidates must strictly adhere to the dress code given by CBSE to avoid any problem entering the examination hall. Those who do not comply by the mentioned dress code shall be barred from giving the exam.  They must also refrain from carrying any barred item to the examination hall. There is no arrangement for keeping any items belonging to the candidates at the examination centres.

So, besides concentrating on your studies, you must also pay attention to what you wear and carry to the examination hall.
