TANCET 2018 EXAMTamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2018 ) is a state level entrance examination held to select candidates for ME, M. Tech, M. Arch, M. Plan, MBA and MCA courses. TANCET 2018 shall be managed by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government.

TANCET 2018 Exam Eligibility Criteria

Here is the eligibility criteria for TANCET 2018. Go through the same before filling the application form:

  • Candidates having valid GATE score with qualifying marks in Engineering/ Technology are not required to appear for TANCET 2018 exam.
  • Candidates having valid GATE score with qualifying marks in Engineering Science (XE)/ and Life Science (XL) are required to appear for TANCET 2018 exam.
  • Candidates appearing in final year are also eligible.
  • Those belonging to the other states can also apply.

Here is the course-wise educational qualification for TANCET 2018:

MCA

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years with mathematics as mandatory subject in class 12th.
  • Candidates must score an aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to the reserved categories must score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

MCA (Lateral Entry)

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree specialising in Computer Science or Information Technology or Bachelor’s of Computer Applications with mathematics as mandatory subject in class 12th or at graduation level.
  • Candidates must score an aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories must score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
  1. Tech/ME/ M. Arch/ M. Plan
  • Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Candidates must score an aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories must score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

MBA

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years.
  • Candidates must score an aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories must score a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
