Admission Process at BITS Pilani Campus
BITS conducts an exclusive entrance exam to select students for the various courses it offers. It is the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT). This entrance examination tests the candidate’s knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. There is also a section on logical reasoning. The applications for this test are submitted in December. The exam is held online in the months of May and June across the country.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for BITSAT, the candidates must secure a minimum average score of 75% in the Physics, Chemistry and Maths with a minimum of 60% in each subject in their higher secondary exam.

Advanced Degrees
The institute offers Master’s degree programs in pharmacy, public health, engineering, and business administration. A 3 year integrated Master of Engineering program in Computer Science with specialization in Information Security has also been introduced in the Hyderabad campus. This program has especially been designed for the Bachelor of Science students who have a major in Mathematics or Physics or both.
The institute also offers off-campus programs. It targets the professionals who wish to pursue advanced degree alongside their jobs.
International Projects
BITS Pilani has partnered in building the JournalServer open access digital library, Project IPV6 and the MIT iCampus project.
Fee Structure
The fee structure for the candidates seeking admission for the 2017-18 academic session is as follows:
- Admission Fees: INR 16,500 (To be paid only once, at the time of admission)
- Application Fees: INR 1,500 (To be paid only once, at the time of submitting the application form)
- Semester Fees: INR 42,800 (To be paid at the beginning of each semester)

The BITS Pilani Campus is spread over a vast area of 990 acres. The developed area here is around 49 acres out of which the BITS building occupies about 60,769 square meters.
