CUSAT 2018 Exam

CUSAT 2018 Exam Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT 2018 Exam) conducts various tests including the Common Admission Test (CAT), Lateral Entry Test (LET) and Department Admission Test (DAT) to provide admission to various programmes offered by it. CAT is held by the institute to select students for B. Tech, BBAL.L.B., B. Com LLB, MIP-PhD, LLB, MSc. (Photonics, Marine and Computer Science), MA, LLM-PhD, MCA/ MCA (Lateral Entry), MVoc and MFSc among other courses. Candidates must clear this exam in order to seek admission in these courses at the institute. Here is a look at the CUSAT CAT 2018 eligibility criteria and important dates.

CUSAT 2018 Exam Eligibility Criteria

Here is the eligibility criteria for applying to entrance test for various courses at CUSAT 2018 Exam:

BBA/ LLB (Hons)/ B. Com LLB (Hons)

  • Candidates must clear class 12th exam with 60% marks (for Science group) and 55% marks (for Arts/ Commerce and Humanities group).
  • The maximum age of the candidates must be 20 years as on 1st July 2018.
  • The maximum age of the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes category must be 22 years as on 1st July 2018.

L.L.B

  • Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by CUSAT.
  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 40%.
  • Those belonging to the SC/ ST category must score a minimum aggregate of 35%.
  • Those appearing for the qualifying examination may also apply for the same.
  1. Tech/ 5 year integrated M. Sc in Photonics
  • Candidates must clear class 12th exam from the state of Kerala or equivalent exam.
  • Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in class 12th.
  • Candidates must score minimum 50% in Mathematics individually and minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  1. Tech Marine Engineering
  • Candidates must clear class 12th exam from the state of Kerala or equivalent exam.
  • Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry Mathematics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in class 12th.
  • Candidates must score minimum 50% in Mathematics individually and minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates must score minimum in class 10th and 12th.
  • Candidates must not be more than 25 years of age as on 1st September 2018.

MCA

  • Candidate must be a science graduate.
  • Candidate must have mathematics as mandatory subject at the graduation level or must be a graduate in engineering/ technology/ electronics/ information technology/ computer science/ computer applications.
  • Candidate must score minimum aggregate marks of 55% in subjects other humanities and language.

L.L.M

  • Candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
  • Candidate must score minimum 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

M Voc in Technology and Management Consulting

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 60% in MBA or B. Voc degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks.

CUSAT 2018 Exam Important Dates

  • Issuance of Notification: February 2018 1st week
  • Online application form available from: February 2018
  • Online form submission last date for Indian and NRI candidates: February 2018 last week
  • Online form submission last date for International candidates, PIO and Children of Indian Gulf Workers: April 2018 last week
  • Admit Card Availability from: April 2018 3rd week
  • Examination Date: 28th and 29th April 2018

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is an autonomous Science and Technology University established in Kochi, Kerala.
