IIT Guwahati.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-G), Guwahati was established in 1994. It is the sixth member of the IIT fraternity. At present the Institute has eleven departments and three inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science, and humanities disciplines, offering various programs.
Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Campus of IIT-Guwahati

IIT Guwahati’s campus is spread over a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra which is around 20 kms. from the heart of the city. With the majestic Brahmaputra on one side and with hills and vast open spaces on others, the campus provides an ideal setting for learning.

Situated in the placid terrain of North Guwahati, the institute has a top-notch campus, with methodical patches of greenery and well-organized lanes. All the sectors of the institute are conveniently located, which can be computed by bicycles or other vehicles.

IIT Guwahati M.Tech 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have obtained a minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% of marks or First Class in the qualifying degree.

Placement in Guwahati

The training and placement cell of the Institute centrally handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students of all departments. The T&P cell is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support each and every stage of the placement processes.
