JEE Main 2018 Application Forms Released

jee main 2018 applicationThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally released the application forms for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2018. The application forms would be available from today i.e. 1st December 2017. The forms would be available up to 1st January 2018.

JEE Main 2018 Application Forms

Here is how and where to get JEE Main 2018 application forms and other details related to the same.

  • In order to apply for the exam, the students must have the Aadhaar Card.
  • The JEE Main 2018 application form shall be available only in online mode and need to be filled online only.
  • Printed copy of the form shall not be provided to the candidates.
  • Along with the application form, the candidates also require submitting the scanned copy of their signature, guardian’s signature and their passport size photograph.
  • The photograph must strictly be in JPG or JPEG format.
  • The name and date of capturing the photograph must also be mentioned.
  • The preferred exam slot must also be mentioned in the application form.
  • After the submission of the form, the candidates must download the acknowledgement page. This will serve as proof for form submission.

It is suggested to read all the instructions given in JEE main 2018 information brochure cautiously before filling the application form. Ensure that you fill the form exactly as per the given instructions.

JEE Main 2018 Application Fee

JEE Main 2018 application fee can be paid through both online and offline mode. Debit card or credit card can be used to make the payment via online mode. In the offline process, the payment can be made via Challan of ICICI, Canara or Syndicate Bank only. Other modes of payments shall not be accepted.

There is a difference in the application fee based on gender and class:

Offline Mode

The application fee for paper 1 for boys belonging to the General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) is INR 1000 and so is the application fee for paper 2. If you opt for both the papers you will have to pay INR 1800.

For girls and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disabilities Category the fee for each paper is INR 500. For both the papers combined the fee is INR 900.

Online Mode

The application fee for paper 1 for boys belonging to the General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) is INR 500 and so is the application fee for paper 2. If you opt for both the papers you will have to pay INR 1300.

For girls and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disabilities Category the fee for each paper is INR 250. For both the papers combined the fee is INR 650.

The last day to submit the JEE Main 2018 application fee is 2nd January 2018.
