The Central Board of Secondary Education, that released Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2018 application forms recently, has come up with an important notice for all the candidates who have filled the forms or are in the process of doing so.
The submission of application form consists of three main steps. These include filling the required details in the application form, uploading scanned copies of the documents required and making the fee payment. The board has noticed that there is some discrepancy in the second step in most of the applications received until now. This notice has thus been passed for the removal of discrepancies in the images in the submitted application forms. It is also aimed at receiving correctly filled forms along with the required image uploads from the candidates who are yet to apply.
Here is how to rectify the image discrepancy in the submitted forms:
- CBSE has shared an exclusive link on its website wherein the candidates can make the changes and remove the discrepancies in the images uploaded. Visit the JEE Main official site and click on this link by the name “Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Images”
- Rectify the image as per the guidelines mentioned below:
- Photograph of Candidate:
File Size: 4 KB to 40KB
Dimension: 3.5 cm* 4.5 cm
- Signature of Candidate:
File Size: 1 KB to 30 KB
Dimension: 3.5 cm* 1.5 cm
- Signature of Father/ Mother/ Guardian:
File Size: 1 KB to 30 KB
Dimension: 3.5 cm* 1.5 cm
All these images need to be uploaded in JPEG format

1st January 2018 is the last date for filling up the application forms and making changes in the same. It is suggested to fill and submit the form in time so that you have time in case any rectification needs to be done.
JEE Main 2018 will be held on the 8th of April 2018. The computer based exam shall be held on 15th and 16th April 2018.
