It’s important to have theory as well as practical knowledge of all the subjects.
Books for preparation
It’s important to have access to high quality study material by experts. NCERT books and class XI books should be studied first. Some of the highly recommended reference books for the subjects of IIT JEE Main that you must have access to are as follows:
Physics
- HC Verma Concept of physics part 1 and part 2.
- Physics for IIT JEE by Wiley’s Halliday/Resnick/Walker.
- Problems in General Physics by I.E. Irodov.
- Problems in Physics by S.S Krotov.
Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry by O.P. Tandon.
- Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J.D. Lee.
- Inorganic Chemistry by O.P. Tandon.
- Numerical Chemistry by P.Bahadur
Mathematics
- IIT Mathematics by M.L. Khanna.
- Trigonometry, Geometry Books by R.D. Sharma.
- Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight.
- Class XI and XII Mathematics book by R.D. Sharma.
Set Time-Table and Stay Determined
Plan your study schedule for self study, coaching classes and online programs that best suit you. Don’t skip topics and have the basics clear for all the subjects. Maintain notes for all the subjects and clear your doubts in coaching classes. While studying practice questions simultaneously which will improve your speed and accuracy.
