KVPY & NTSE Exam Important Dates

KVPY and NTSE Exam SheetThe Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) is held to shortlist students who are experts in the field of science and mathematics. Those who qualify in this tough exam are offered scholarship. It tests the candidates’ knowledge in four subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. It focuses on evaluating a candidate’s analytical skills rather than assessing his/ her factual knowledge. This competitive examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) each year.

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a scholarship program that selects students with exceptional knowledge in the field of maths, science and social science. The students are tested on two levels in NTSE. This national level exam is considered to be one of the most esteemed exams in India. Each year around 10,000,000 candidates appear for this exam and 1000 among them are offered scholarship program.

Important Dates for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY)

  • Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) 2017 is scheduled to be held on the 5th of November 2017. It would be conducted in two shifts. The duration of both these shifts is 3 hours. Here are the details for the same:
  1. SA Stream: It would be held in the morning shift. The timing for this exam is 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
  2. SB/ SX Stream: It would be conducted in the evening shift. The timing for this exam is 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
  • Official Answer Key for KVPY 2017 shall be available around 5 days post the examination.
  • Those who will qualify in the test shall be called for interview a few days later in the month of November itself.
  • The KVPY 2017 result shall be announced in the first week of December.
  • This would be followed by the announcement of Merit List for KVPY 2017. It will be available category-wise and stream-wise specifying the names of the qualified candidates.

Important Dates National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)

  • NTSE 2017 stage 1 exam for Mizoram, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands shall be held on 4th November 2017.
  • NTSE 2017 stage 1 examination for all the other states and Union Territories shall be conducted on 5th November 2017.
  • National Level NTSE Stage II exam shall be held on May 13th
  • The final result of NTSE 2018 shall be announced in the last week of August 2018.
