NEET 2019 Question Paper Pattern
Here is a detailed look at the NEET 2019 question paper pattern:
- NEET 2019 paper shall be conducted in offline mode that is pen and paper-based.
- The paper is for a duration of 3 hours.
- The paper shall be divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
- There would be a total of 180 questions in the paper. Physics and Chemistry section will include 45 questions each and the Biology section shall include a total of 90 questions.
- The paper would be for a total of 720 marks.
- The paper is objective type and all the questions would be multiple choice.
- 4 marks shall be given for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Because of the concept of negative marking, it is important to be very careful while answering the questions. In case, you aren’t sure about a particular answer, it is better to leave it unanswered than throwing a wild guess and losing your hard earned marks unnecessarily.
NEET 2019 Question Paper Language
NEET 2019 shall be conducted in 11 languages namely English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada and Oriya. While Hindi and English are common languages. The availability of NEET 2019 question papers in other languages shall be based on the language opted by the candidates at the time of filling the application form.
