Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2019 Exam) is held to shortlist students for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in all the technical institutes/ colleges affiliated to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Admission is given on the basis of merit obtained in UPSEE.
UPSEE 2019 Exam Eligibility Criteria
Mentioned below is the eligibility criteria for the various courses under UPSEE Entrance Exam. This is the criteria for admission to 1st year:
- Tech
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate examination of UP Board or Class 12th or its equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidate must have studied Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology or Technical Vocational subject in Class 12th.
- The aggregate marks in three subjects must be 45%
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, aggregate marks in three subjects must be 40%
2. Tech (Bio- Tech)
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate or Class 12th examination with Mathematics/ Biology and Physics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidate must have studied Chemistry, Bio-Technology or Technical Vocational subject in Class 12th.
- The aggregate marks in three subjects must be 45%
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, aggregate marks in three subjects must be 40%
3. Pharm
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate or Class 12th examination with Chemistry and Physics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidate must have studied Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology or Technical Vocational subject in Class 12th.
- The aggregate marks in three subjects must be 45%
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, aggregate marks in three subjects must be 40%
4. Arch
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate or Class 12th examination with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidate must have studied Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Engineering Drawing or Technical Vocational subject in Class 12th.
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate examination with an aggregate of 50% or more.
5. Tech (Agri.)
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate or Class 12th examination in Agriculture Discipline.
- The aggregate marks in three subjects must be 45%
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, aggregate marks in three subjects must be 40%
6. BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA/ MAM
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate or Class 12th examination in any stream.
- Candidate must have cleared intermediate examination with an aggregate of 45% or more.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category must have cleared intermediate examination with an aggregate of 40% or more.
7. MBA/ MCA
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a recognised institute.
- For MCA, the candidates must have studied Mathematics at graduation level or in Class 12th.
- Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
- A relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category.
- This is the criteria for admission to 2nd-year UPSEE Courses:
8. Tech (LE)
- Candidate must have 3 years diploma in engineering or B Sc. degree with Mathematics as a mandatory subject in Class 12th.
- Candidate must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
- A relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category.
9. Pharm (LE)
- Candidate must have Diploma in Pharmacy
- Candidate must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
- A relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category.
10. MCA (LE)
- Candidate must have BCA or BSc in IT/ Computer Science degree from a recognized institute.
- Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
- A relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category.

- Application Form for UPSEE Available From Third week of January 2019
- Application Form Last Date: Fourth week of March 2019
- Rectification of Filled Application Forms: Fourth week of March 2019
- Admit Card Availability: First week of May 2019 till the day of the exam
- Entrance Examination Date: April 21, 2019 (for UG) and 5th and 6th May 2018 (for PG)
- Result Declaration: Last week of May 2019
- 1st Round of UPSEE 2018 Exam Counselling: Fourth week of June to First week of July 2019
